After being stationed at Pensacola it moved to Virginia, served under R.S. Garnett and H.R. Jackson, then during Lee's \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/civilwar\/search-battles-detail.htm?battleCode=wv005\"\u003eCheat Mountain\u003c\/a\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Campaign was attached to General D.S. Donelson's Brigade. In December, with a force of 918 officers and men, it was sent to Winchester and later Lynchburg. The regiment was soon ordered to Macon and mustered out of service.
