This reproduction is based on Captain George Little's jacket, and represents a plainer variation of garments worn by officers and enlisted men alike. Captain Little was an Ordnance Officer within Cheatham's Corp and was wounded in 1864.

The jacket's most unusual features include two lower exterior pockets and the use of "double-topstitching" This stitching occurs from the garment being felled, but driving this stitch through all the layers of the fabric and then applying standard top stitching. This method is also seen on some Montgomery Depot, Department of Alabama Jackets, and other Commutation/Private Purchase jackets.
