The canton shows and eagle above a voting box with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e21 years\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e written on it. The American Party tried, and failed, to increase the number of years an immigrant had to reside in America before they could vote from 5 to 21 to ensure their loyalty to the United States.
