1st Arkansas Hardde House Flag
These are modern all-weather nylon flags for your house or garden based on the original flag of the 1st Arkansas Infantry.
The battle flag of the 1st and 15th Regiments Arkansas Volunteer Infantry dated to 1864. The flag is made of cotton and wool with a faded blue field. The central device is a white disc with black crossed cannons in the center. The designation letters, blue in color with a red shadow reads, "1st ARK REG, T." The honors located above the central disc in all capitol white letters read, "Richmond, KY. Tunnel Hill. Liberty Gap. Ringgold Gap." The honors located below the central disc are painted ornate in white with a gold outline that reads, “CHICKAMAUGA." Above the honor of "Chickamauga" in the white border painted in all black capital letters are, "Manassas. Evansport. Shiloh." "Tuscumbia Creek. Perryville." are located on the right hand-side border and are painted in capitol black letters. Farmington. Bridgecreek." are located in the bottom border and are painted in capitol black letters. The left hand-side border has the honor “Murfreesboro" painted in capitol black letters. Below the central disc, hand painted in cursive black is, "Captured by 14th Michigan Infantry. Near Jonesboro, Georgia. Sept. 1st, 1864."
After this flag was captured by the 14th Michigan Infantry at Jonesboro it was given capture number 537.
