Modern design based on the historical references from the 1652 work by Thomas Hobbes. This work was highly influential in the understanding of the purpose of Government and its impact on personal and religious liberty. It is highly referenced within the War for Independence and Southern Secession. The design is based on the Biblical monster of Leviathan with the flip design being that of "Leviathan on the Potomac".
Artwork is a historically inspired revision of the original book title print page - see attached for the original version. Lincoln replaces the king, wielding the sword and Fasces (symbolism that to this day is utilized within the Lincoln Memorial). His arms are made up of industrial revolutionary ideas and industry. With man power of immigration. The two columns depict the 19th Century interpretation of the original powers of the king and King of Kings.
