"Rebuilt United States Flag" Charleston Washington Artillery 1st National Flag Sticker

The flag was originally a United States flag presented to the Washington Artillery in 1844. Upon the Secession of the State of South Carolina, the flag was disassembled and re-sewn into a variant of the Southern 1st National Flag. The flag stayed in Charleston until its evacuation in 1865 and would be returned to the Washington Artillery after the war.
