44th Mississippi Regimental Colors
The original flag was captured at the Battle of Nashville - December 1864, by the 12th Iowa Infantry. The original flag is inscribed with the capture location, soldiers that captured it, and the unit captured from - noted as the 44th Mississippi. There is some modern debate on whether or not this is indeed the flag of the 44th Mississippi, as the believed locations of the 12th Iowa and the 44th Mississippi would make it unlikely that they were directly apposed. However, the original markings do explicitly state as such. As with many captured flags, it is possible that the capturing party made an error or the flag was captured in a non-conventional manner making the place/location of capture unusual.
Each order comes with three stickers.
