Columbus Depot Jacket (Handsewn Variant) 1862-1864
Columbus Depot Jacket (Handsewn Variant) 1862-1864
By far the most common depot jacket utilized within the Army of Tennessee from the late fall of 1862 through the Nashville Campaign of 1864, the Columbus Depot Jacket would serve the primary Western army well.
Like Richmond, Columbus also produced garments by hand in addition to their machine examples. The variant is based on a series of such examples including those with inside and outside pockets.
