Confederate overcoat based on a period image from the 5th Texas Infantry and construction and patterning based on an original examples. Period photos and originals vary in material and details, but the overall style replicating the M1851 Infantry Overcoat are well documented amongst Southern forces. While distinctly military, the style is fairly generic across all theaters and period within the conflict.
