Charleston Depot - Back Jacket
Charleston Depot - Back Jacket
The Augusta and Charleston Depot Jackets were issued to the forces within the Department of South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia garrisoning the Southern coastline. Additionally some amount of the production was utilized by the Army of Tennessee within the period of 1864 and 1865, with known examples linked to the Atlanta and Nashville Campaigns of 1864.
These jackets are believed to have been made at a variety of locations, including Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.
The reproduction is based on a surviving example worn John Calhoun Back.
