Like overcoats, trousers, jackets, and many arms, the Confederacy also imported military shirts into the Southern States. These shirts were made from blue and white striped cotton, closed with bone buttons, and utilized salvage edges for many of the long edges of the shirt. The construction of the shirts is unusual in nature, where as the seams are sewn more like a tent or sail than that of a traditional shirt.
The reproduction is made from a copy the English Import shirt, closed with the applicable bone buttons, and is appropriately stamped per the known examples.
