Gettysburg "Sharpshooter" Frock Coat
Gettysburg "Sharpshooter" Frock Coat
Based on the famed Gettysburg "Sharpshooter" image from Devil's Den, the frock is a good example of those non-depot produced garments within the ranks of the Army of Northern Virginia in the summer of 1863.
The coat has a 6 button front, made from wool jean, and most notable has a large breast patch pocket. While distinct to this known image, the style is reasonably generic to many other frock coats seen in Southern ranks.
