"Gettysburg" Trousers
"Gettysburg" Trousers
Based on images of Confederate soldiers killed at Gettysburg, the trousers are notable for the front and back panels being made from two different shades of jeans. The use of piecing and scrap materials is common across all 19th Century garments (military and civilian) and this appears to be the case with the original image (most likely Georgians based on location and Georgia State Jackets present in the image).
The base trousers copied are a pair of surviving Richmond Clothing Bureau trousers with the front and back panels being made from two different shades of gray jean cloth.
Additional historical information is available here.
These reproduction trousers are available in grey on natural wool jean with a contrasting wool jean front and back panel.

- Historic Fit
The trouser sizes noted represent the natural waist measurement of the individual. Please beware these are not modern sizes and failure to utilize true natural waist measurements will result in ill fitting trousers. - Production Time
All historic garments have a production time of six to eight months (25-32 weeks).
