Often referred to as Louisiana State Jackets or Camp Moore Jackets, these garments represent early Louisiana garments seen across many of the state's segments. The garments are all remarkably similar in both cut and trim, with two basic style being with or without an outside pocket.
Based on the surviving examples these jackets were made from a gray jean, closed with Louisiana state buttons, and trimmed in black tape (either around the edge or binding the edge).
