Tennessee State Frock Coat 1861-1862 Ready to Ship - Size 52
The Tennessee State Frock coat is widely seen amongst the soldiers from the State of Tennessee during the opening years of the war. Primarily in use during the Fort Henry/Donelson, Shiloh/Corinth Campaign, and Kentucky Campaign. While no official pattern included all common features, the underlying theme of a trimmed collar, front cuff facing (with buttons), and at times an outside pocket are extremely common amongst the known images. In addition to Tennessee forces, units that purchased good from Tennessee were also clothed in these frocks. An example of this is the Missourians under Price purchased these coats before the battles of Iuka and Corinth in the fall of 1862 - supported by the original purchase documents and known images of the Missourians.
