Virginia State Militia Frock Coat and Trousers from the 1859 regulations:
Frock coat and trousers are based upon those worn by a Virginia Militia Officer (LT Davenport, Company A, 2nd Virginia) from 1859-1861. The frock coat is similar to the United States regulations for officer frocks as adopted in 1858, with various minor differences in patterning and construction. The trousers are matching uniform blue of the frock and trimmed in gold.
